Did my mini-prep work? I had no way to tell! 1ul of the result in 100uL of SeeGreen DNA stain solution seemed to show some orange glow. To quantify, I made a spectrometer with a blue LED and a filter to remove most of the blue light, and compared my stuff with a known conc. ref. https://t.co/doLCq5iYcJ

Finally finished vibe coding my personal health app built with Claude. Here's what it does: - Connects to the Oura API to sync sleep, recovery, steps, and exercise data - Tracks my monthly bloodwork via Rythm Health CSV uploads - Uses Playwright to scrape Chronometer daily nutrition and water intake - Uses Gemini to OCR Ladder workout screenshots and track my lifts - Full dashboard with weight trends, calorie balance charts, macro tracking, and a tabbed daily log It's completely interactive and honestly, pretty fucking cool. Blood markers even have visualizations based on what's in range and out of range.

openclaw ecosystem market report, march 15th: @openclaw dropped from 100% to 69% market share between jan and mar 1. since then it's drifted slightly to 67.6%. but the drift is deceptive. @openclaw added 72k stars in the last 2 weeks. everyone else combined added 38k. openclaw is accelerating in absolute terms, but so is the competition: 1๏ธโƒฃ hermes is the breakout (@NousResearch). v0.2.0 dropped mar 12 and stars nearly doubled in 3 days. +228% in the last week, 28 daily contributors, 263 commits in a single day. accelerating, not cooling. 2๏ธโƒฃ ironclaw was the breakout two weeks ago (+155% mar 1-15) but is now decelerating. +33% last week vs +92% the week before. still growing, momentum has shifted. 3๏ธโƒฃ @openfangg went from 1 star to 14.5k in under 3 weeks. cooling now but still the fastest entrance the ecosystem has seen. 4๏ธโƒฃ @zeroclawlabs launch spike (1.2k to 16.4k in one week) has normalized. classic hype curve. 5๏ธโƒฃ the long tail is dying. @TinyClawAI flatlined, nanoclaw and picoclaw decelerating. the ecosystem is consolidating around openclaw + 2-3 real challengers. zooming out: the total ecosystem hit 458k stars, up from near zero in late jan. but the growth rate peaked at ~13k stars/day around mar 8 and has dropped to ~3k/day this week. the initial wave that lifted everything is fading. beware the ides of march! source: https://t.co/VXIiDwtRzZ

โ€œTiming is very important. You need to pick hard problems to solve and be ambitious with them. But you've also got to pick the right time when the world and the context that you're in is the right kind of environment for those ideas to flourish.โ€ In his official Nobel Prize interview, Demis Hassabis discussed how his aspirations as a young gaming programmer were ahead of their time. NVIDIA CEO Jensen Huang: โ€œI really discourage 1-on-1sโ€ Jensen famously has 60 direct reports. When Stripe founder Patrick Collison points out that this isnโ€™t conventionally considered best practice, Jensen shares his reasoning: โ€œI donโ€™t do 1-on-1s, and almost everything I say, I say to everybody all the time. I donโ€™t really believe thereโ€™s any information that I operate on that only one or two people should hear aboutโ€ฆ I believe that when you give everybody equal access to information, that empowers people. And so thatโ€™s number oneโ€ฆ Number two, if the CEOโ€™s direct staff is 60 people, the number of layers youโ€™ve removed in a company is probably something like seven.โ€ Patrick offers to steal man the other side of the argument: โ€œ1-on-1s are where you provide coaching, where you maybe talk through personal goals and career advancement, where maybe you give feedback on something that you see somebody systematically not doing so wellโ€ฆ Do you not do those things or do you do them in a different way?โ€ Jensen responds: โ€œI give you feedback right there in front of everybody. In fact, this is a really big deal. First of all, feedback is learning. For what reason are you the only person who should learn this?โ€ฆ We should all learn from that opportunityโ€ฆ Half the time Iโ€™m not right, but for me to reason through it in front of everybody helps everybody learn how to reason through it. The problem I have with 1-on-1s and taking feedback aside is you deprive a whole bunch of people that same learning. Learning from other peopleโ€™s mistakes is the best way to learn.โ€ Video source: @stripe (2024)

AIโ€™s next frontier is Spatial Intelligence, a technology that will turn seeing into reasoning, perception into action, and imagination into creation. But what is it? Why does it matter? How do we build it? And how can we use it? Today, I want to share with you my thoughts on building and using world models to unlock spatial intelligence in this essay below. 1/n

Spent about $1000 in credits on Seedance 2.0 over the last few weeks, and here are a few thoughts: First, the main thing that strikes me using a state-of-the-art model from this new generation is how hard it still is to scale beyond short form. Getting great animation is fast. Getting multi-cut sequences that make sense is possible. Consistency with Omnireference is actually very good. But the moment you move into real narrative work, things change. Multi-character exchanges, long sequences, maintaining visual continuity across shots, keeping tone, pacing, and staging consistentโ€ฆ itโ€™s not impossible, but it is still a lot of work. And with generation costing somewhere between $2 and $7 per ~15 seconds, it adds up very quickly. As models improve, producing good looking short content is becoming trivial. Building something that holds together as a story is still not. Continue Video in Seedance is clearly trying to address part of this, but in my case it has been broken for the last couple of weeks, so none of my longer attempts would go through. In theory, you could imagine a small team of 5โ€“10 people generating all day from the same storyboard, using a shared visual reference as a single source of truth. That alone shows how close we are to something that starts looking like a real production pipeline. But we are not fully there yet. Right now it still feels like we can touch the future with the tip of our fingers, while at the same time struggling to precisely steer a model using mostly words, references, and iterations when the narrative becomes complex. Short clips are easy. Worldbuilding is not. And storytelling is still the hardest part.
