Yes, we provided 3 things for AI-assisted math: * Human-AI interaction (HAI) card (photo), inspired by model cards * Full transcripts https://t.co/NvO8p4Wiva * A label for novelty-autonomy, inspired by SAE Levels of autonomy, see #Aletheia paper https://t.co/8pLHmZZQO4 https://t.co/cFGZ6dbiWK
Really good question (note that DeepMind shared transcripts in their recent Aletheia paper, and I think this is clearly best practice). Hopefully OAI follows suit.

In 2024 @sequoia said that the AI industry needed $600bn of revenue for the maths to make sense. Strangely they haven't updated it since then, so here's an attempt. $600bn is now more like $1.6trn.... @DavidCahn6 https://t.co/SxxKvkBhbQ
Michael Burry urged investors to scale back exposure to surging technology stocks, saying the current market environment has reached historically dangerous extremes reminiscent of prior speculative bubbles. The famed investor, best known for predicting the 2008 housing collapse, said investors should โreject greedโ as enthusiasm around artificial intelligence and momentum-driven trades pushes valuations sharply higher. Which has better odds? Generative AI earning $1.6 trillion/year or the roulette wheel landing on zero? https://t.co/52cTL3iSHM
One estimate of how much annual revenue AI needs to โmake senseโ: 1.6 trillion. Thatโs four times what Google made in its best year. (total revenue so far is perhaps on order of 100 billion.)
Anthropic President Daniela Amodei: The risk no one says out loud is that this entire AI industry is betting on the future Compute is scarce and has to be bought years in advance, before companies know whether revenue will ever catch up "revenue has been historic, but that can change"
Important Nature Neuroscience paper shows how humans differ from LLMs. Many people currently believe that humans are just next-word predictors, like LLMs. But this new paper by Zou, Poeppel and Ding suggests something more interesting. The human brain does predict words. But it does not predict every word with the same precision. Prediction is constrained by linguistic structure. When a word continues the current phrase, brain activity tracks word surprisal in a way that resembles an LLM. But when a word crosses a major phrase boundary, the match weakens. In other words, the brain does not simply ask: โWhat is the next word?โ It also asks: โWhat structure am I currently building?โ This challenges one of the most common biases in todayโs technological world: the belief that human language works like a large language model. The answer is: no. Human language is not just next-token prediction. * Paper in the first reply
๐ Fei-Fei Li, former Google Chief Scientist, says the industry is dangerously fixated on language models. Most of the real economy is physical, perceptual and spatial. Once AI fully understands the visual world, it stops being a chatbot and starts becoming infrastructure. https://t.co/4CjUi7XsDg

Happy 23rd Mother's Day to my incredible mom, @4katluvrs! โค๏ธ My mom is my hero and inspiration. I would not be here today without her guidance, her advocacy, and most importantly, her steady support. She is my biggest fan and her constant encouragement means the world to me. She believes in me even when sometimes I don't believe in myself. As my biggest advocate, my mom made sure the world knew what I was capable of. Who else would successfully convince a community college to let a 7 year old like myself to take classes? My mom as sacrificed a lot to be the best mom she could possibly be, and for that I am extremely grateful. She gave up her own budding career (including quitting midway through her PhD) to nurture us because she saw my potential, when I was only a baby! Now that Iโm a year into running a startup, I appreciate even more the resilience, discipline, work ethic, and leadership skills she instilled in me from a very young age. Being a founder has been the most difficult endeavor of my life, and I realize more than ever how much she prepared me for it. So much of what I do is to honor the sacrifices and effort my mom has poured into me. All of my accomplishments are dedicated to her. I love you so much, Mamma! Celebrating all the ways you have loved me and my sister @sopranotiara Happy Mother's Day to all the moms, aunts, and grandmas! ๐ฅณ

ERNIE 5.1 is here ๐ ERNIE 5.1 significantly reduces pretraining cost while compressing total parameters to ~1/3 and activated parameters to ~1/2 โ using only ~6% of the pretraining cost compared to models at similar scale, while achieving leading performance in its class. ๐กKey highlights: 1/ Strong agentic performance approaching leading frontier models. ERNIE 5.1 surpasses DeepSeek-V4-Pro on both ฯ3-bench and SpreadsheetBench-Verified. 2/ Strong world knowledge and creative writing capabilities, with GPQA and MMLU-Pro performance approaching leading closed-source models, and creative writing ability nearing Gemini 3.1 Pro. 3/ Frontier-level reasoning performance. ERNIE 5.1 scores 99.6 on the challenging AIME26 benchmark with tools, second only to Gemini 3.1 Pro. 4/ Deep search capability. On May 9, ERNIE 5.1 ranked #4 globally and #1 among Chinese models on the Arena Search leaderboard with a score of 1223. Frontier labs are betting AGI models will be so good you won't ever want to customize them. We think different. Building on a closed platform means renting your intelligence. OpenAI has announced they will be winding down fine tuning. I got the email today. Existing active @OpenAI customers can keep running fine-tuning jobs until January 6, 2027, but after that no new training jobs can be created. Existing fine-tuned models will still run, but only un
