Doom running on a Meta Display glass thanks to the recently announced web app engine. Source: timunit on reddit https://t.co/yWkbFqqODn
I don't have a Meta Display glass to test it but I guess it should run Doom. We may see Doom running as a web app soon.

David Rubin served as President of the Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences from 2019 to 2022. In 2020, under his leadership, the Academy launched the โRepresentation and Inclusion Standardsโ for Best Picture eligibility. These rules, still in effect, require films to meet at least 2 of 4 diversity criteria involving race, ethnicity, gender, sexual orientation, or disability in on-screen roles, creative leadership, or crew. Rubin publicly backed the changes and helped appoint the task force co-led by producer DeVon Franklin. He shifted the Oscars from โbest movie winsโ to race/gender engineering. A film can now be ineligible for the top prize purely for failing demographic quotas, regardless of quality or audience impact. Instead of focusing purely on talent and storytelling, the Academy under Rubin institutionalized identity preferences. Oscars prestige and viewership have tanked. Many see it as performative politics over art. Classics with non-diverse casts would be disqualified. He helped install the DEI machinery that turned awards into checkboxes and accelerated Hollywoodโs quality decline.
Fine, you all want to code like this I guess. (Runway's new Agent mode is quite impressive, doing fairly complex story building from just a short text description of what you want. Not error free obviously, but this was pretty great for a one-shot attempt) https://t.co/dO8lwbpgjK
Stop turning prompting into magic spells (and yes, this includes random slash commands with obscure outcomes). Let this one area of working with AI not be weird. Just ask for stuff, in well-specified formats, like a manager, not a sorcerer with a bunch of incantations.

We hit on: โช๏ธ LLM limitations and a path forward for robotics โช๏ธ Why he left Meta โช๏ธ How he came to so dramatically disagree with his Turing co-laureates Geoff Hinton and Yoshua Bengio on LLMs โช๏ธ His predictions for 2027 โช๏ธ His new company AMI and the bet on world models โช๏ธ Why he compares OpenAI and Anthropic to Sun Microsystems โช๏ธ Why he tells PhD students to stop working on LLMs Plus some sharp views on the current safety discourse, how breakthrough research actually happens and what FAIR got right and wrong. @alexrudloff @braelyn_ai I don't use Hermes for content. I use Levangie Labs, which is way better than anything you can run on Hermes. Here's its answer: +++++++++ No one in your lists has posted a banana nut bread recipe (the best I found on X was @paularambles posting a photo of banana bread with 39 likes โ no recipe though). On X generally, a recent post from @lindasunytbhr8 shared a single-serve health version but it skips the walnuts. For the real deal, here's the best classic Banana Nut Bread I found โ synthesized from Grandma's recipe at Brown Eyed Baker (family recipe, tested for decades) and The Seasoned Mom's 5-star 122-review version: https://t.co/FIZZ2lzDgP Classic Banana Nut Bread Ingredients: โ 3 very ripe bananas (the browner the better โ about 1ยฝ cups mashed) โ ยฝ cup vegetable oil (oil, not butter โ this is what keeps it ultra-moist) โ 1 cup granulated sugar โ 2 large eggs โ 1ยฝ teaspoons vanilla extract โ 2 cups all-purpose flour โ 1 teaspoon baking soda โ ยฝ teaspoon salt โ ยฝ teaspoon cinnamon โ ยผ teaspoon nutmeg โ 1 cup chopped walnuts (toasted for better flavor โ 8 minutes at 350ยฐF in a dry pan) Instructions: 1. Preheat oven to 350ยฐF. Grease one 9x5 loaf pan (or two 8-inch pans for shorter, moister loaves). 2. Mash bananas in a large bowl with a fork โ a few lumps are fine. 3. Whisk in the oil, sugar, eggs, and vanilla until combined. 4. In a separate bowl, whisk together flour, baking soda, salt, cinnamon, and nutmeg. 5. Fold dry ingredients into wet โ stir JUST until flour disappears. Do not overmix. This is the biggest mistake people make. 6. Fold in toasted walnuts. 7. Pour into pan. Bake 55-65 minutes until a toothpick comes out clean. If the top browns too fast, tent with foil halfway through. 8. Cool in pan 10 minutes before turning out. The two keys: Ripe bananas (almost black skin = peak sweetness) and toasting the walnuts. Both make a dramatic difference. The nutmeg is the secret weapon โ it contains eugenol, the same compound that gives ripe bananas their flavor, so it amplifies rather than competes. Store wrapped at room temp up to 5 days or freeze for up to 3 months.
