Great to host @MathiasCormann, Secretary General of the @OECD, in Washington last week for the #PaxSilica Summit. We had excellent exchanges on the future of secure technology and international cooperation. The momentum is building for a stronger, reliable supply chain ecosystem.

Yann LeCun (@ylecun), a Turing Award winner and one of the pioneers in deep learning, is on The Information Bottleneck! π¨π¨π¨ We talked about everything: his new startup, why world models are the future, why he left Meta after 12 years, and why he thinks "LLMs" and "AGI" are "complete BS." Also: what's wrong with Silicon Valley, why dog-level intelligence is harder than human-level, his take on SSI and Thinking Machines, and whether his new company (AMI, "Advanced Machine Intelligence") will open source their research.

π Christmas cards are great, but let's be honest, they're usually pretty bland. What if you could turn that basic family photo into a holiday masterpiece that actually gets framed? π Dreamina 4.5 is your secret weapon. https://t.co/SLP0xqqp6V
I need to make some Christmas cards, and images for sending to family and friends, and Felix caught my eye with how he used @dreamina_ai. So I tried it. Took literally a few seconds to take my step mom's photo and put her into this Christmas scene. I just uploaded a photo to it (actually just copy and pasted out of Apple Photos into Dreamina) and told it what I wanted "put the woman and the dog into a Christmas scene." Took seconds.

My heart is ripped apart for the precious lives brutally slaughtered at Bondi Beachβs Hanukkah celebration. Fifteen innocent souls, including a terrified 10-year-old girl, a devoted rabbi, a Holocaust survivor shielding his wife who was gunned down in cold blood by radical Islamist. Families torn apart, children screaming, joy turned to unimaginable horror. This is pure evil! Illinois, this burns in my soul. WE ARE NEXT if we donβt act NOW! Weβre importing the exact same venomous radicalism. We have hate preaching mosques, unchecked immigration breeding extremism in our Chicago suburbs, threats festering right under our noses. How many more innocents must die before we scream ENOUGH?! As your America First Senator, Iβll rage against this madness, SLAM borders shut, VET relentlessly, CRUSH radical ideologies threatening our families! No apologies, no weakness. Protect our people with FURY! Our children deserve safety, not slaughter. Illinois, rise up! πΊπΈ #NeverAgain #AmericaFirst #StandWithJews #IllinoisStrong

π¨π¬π§ STARMERβS GOVERNMENT PREPARES BRITAIN FOR WAR Sky News reports the UK is βrapidly developingβ plans to prepare the entire country for the outbreak of war. Not defence. Not deterrence. Preparation for conflict. π΄ Civil contingency planning escalated π΄ Public messaging quietly shifting to wartime footing π΄ No democratic mandate for escalation π΄ Ordinary Britons expected to absorb the risk π΄ Same media class normalising it without scrutiny This is not leadership. It is drift toward war by a government with no strategy and no public consent. Starmer talks like a manager. Acts like a gambler. And expects the public to pay the price. And Sky News - like the BBC - plays its role: laundering escalation as βresponsibilityβ and asking no serious questions. Britain is being marched toward conflict by the weakest political class in generations. Is this really what people voted for?
