Had a pretty wild run-in with AI and hardware troubleshooting today... 😅 I'm not really a hardware guru, usually stick to software stuff, but every now and then, life throws you a curveball. Out traveling totally off the grid, and bam, one of my devices dies on me (prior water damage). No fancy tools or parts around, just basic symptoms and some quick snaps of the PCB. The setup's basically 5V + UART port + MCU + Bluetooth chip hooked to analog hardware. I dump it all into ChatGPT Pro, and it actually helps me zero in on a damaged layer connection that's killing the 3.3V bus. We went back and forth: me uploading photos, tracing the signal paths with a voltmeter to pinpoint the failed inter-layer connection, and piecing together the logic on why it's failing. It gave me the basics on PCB design and signal flow, but I steered half the way, definitely wouldn't have cracked this alone. Patched a quick fix to hold till I snag a replacement. 50/50 human and AI team-up. Doubt ChatGPT's seen this exact hack before... not your everyday hardware glitch! 🤖🔧 #AIAdventures #HardwareFail #OffGridFix
