"text": "「日本にフロンティアAI企業を創る」\n\nSakana AIでは当社初となるOpen Houseイベントを開催し、私から以下のような内容で冒頭の挨拶をしました。\n\n10年以上前にカナダから日本に来て、Googleで深層学習の最先端研究に没頭していた私が、なぜSakana AIを創業するに至ったのか、その背景をお話ししたい と思います。これまでの世界のAI研究開発は、米国と中国に集中しているのが現状です。しかし、アジアを代表する民主主義国家である日本も、AI技術の発展に貢献し、そのグローバルな議論に参加すべきだと強く感じています。だからこそ、私は日本から世界で話題になるようなAI技術を生み出し、日本が再び世界のAI開発において重要な役割を担えるようにしたいと考え、Sakana AIを立ち上げました。\n\n現在、私たちのビジネスモデルは、日本の大企業や公共セクターのお客様にAIプロダクトを提供することに注力しています。これは、多くの分野に事業を広げられる大企業とは違い、限られたリソースしかない私たちが、社会に最も大きな価値とインパクトをもたらすための戦略的な判断です。\n\n一方で、私たちはオープンな研究開発と社会との対話を非常に大切にしています。研究論文やソースコードを公開し、オープンソースコミュニティや広く社会に知見を還元することを常に心がけています。なぜなら、AIの発展は世界的な協力によって成り立つものであり、知見の共有は分野全体の進歩に不可欠だと信じているからです。日本の企業として質の高い研究成果やコードを発信し続けることが、日本がAIの世界で重要な存在であり続けるために極めて重要だと考えています。\n\nこの後、私の共同創業者である伊藤錬と、Appliedチームの精鋭メンバーたちが様々な角度からSakana AIの事業開発やAppliedチームでの働き方について紹介してくれました。\n\n【イベントレポート】Applied Engineer Open House 2025：金融・防衛の難関課題に挑む、AI社会実装の最前線（ブログ👇🏼）",
