  "text": "Must read piece by @JChengWSJ on how the US is losing biotech to China.\n\nThe only way out of this is autonomous labs.  \n\nAs I say in the article, there are simply more scientifically-trained biotech hands in China now.  We need to move the basis of competition to ideas + investment, not manual lab work like it is today.  Good luck competing with China on low cost, skilled labor.\n\nCurious people’s thoughts on what we should do?  \n\nBiotech VCs at this point are just investing in China — they aren’t coming to help US biotech startups.  Kendall Sq and South SF need to wake up IMO if we want to keep the industry.",
