"text": "I made a compromise by using the esbuild api directly from the go based web server, to automatically build into and serve from an in-memory-file system & watch and rebuild automatically on changes\n\nAlso made a custom npm fetcher that installs deps automatically, all without CGO\n\nLets me do all the UI development as if it was nobuild without all the hassle, and can even easily embed the whole thing directly into Android/iOS apps as well as desktop macOS/Windows/Linux for cross-platform UI + regular web with standalone statically linked binaries :) \n\nFor cases when I want to ship the whole frontend pre-bundled and minimized, \"closed source\", I just have a custom go based build step that dumps the build results from the in-memory-fs and go:embed's it and builds that\n\nThen I can still ship frontend updates as signed bundles, and have offline-ready app UIs with just a simple webview based app skeleton for each platform",

"text": "One of the things I've started doing is writing a bunch of tiny little functions to introduce ease-of-use for DX:\n\nThings like el($ID) and sel($CSS_SELECTOR) as simple alias functions for document.getElementById and document.querySelectorAll.\n\nThe only thing I miss from the jquery era is the $() function being so powerful. I will probably end up with a 1-2 character function and throwing in a bunch of beefy DOM functions. \n\nMy only complaint about modern JS is that it's so damned verbose. Every freaking function (except fetch) is like, 50 characters long. Ugh!",

Only library used is for pdfs.\n\nYou can fill forms, have a complex set of rules on the fields, from validation to autofill.\n\nYou can also sign those form and have them go through a process.\n\nAnd it's fast. Another did a V2 with Angular and we have people who want to stick to V1, because of speed. V2 has now extra features, but also a loading screen and transitions.\n\nV1 is superior, but it requires very rare talents to maintain its speed and quality. (think doing a better contextualized Angular as a side thing for your project)\n\nAnd that's a classical story. Company has \"A-Team\", so it deliver something way above what is already done. Then company wants to do way more, with a cheaper team. So, the solution is replaced by another that lose some quality in exchange of doing more and being much easier to devlop.\n\nIt's a classic tension between ease of devlopment and optimization and features released.",
