One measure of how poorly run OpenAI actually is comes the fact that they are burning money an order of magnitude faster than Anthropic, yet still managed to squander much of their early lead. The fact OpenAI is valued at 2x Anthropic despite being a bigger money pit is a mostly a reflection of hype, rather than substance.
