  "text": "AI advice makes people 3× less accurate and 2× more confident at the same time.\n\nOur new paper is receiving a lot of attention, perhaps not surprisingly, given how dramatic the results are. \n\nIf you have not read the article yet, here’s a brief summary:\n\nWhen people receive AI advice:\n\n- Judgment suspension (“I don’t know” answers) collapses from 44% to 3%.\n\n- Accuracy falls by a factor of three, from 27% to 9%.\n\n- Confidence skyrockets from 30/100 to 76/100.\n\nAdding monetary incentives for accuracy helps somewhat:\n\n- People become a bit more cautious and are more likely to override bad AI advice. \n\n- But judgment suspension and accuracy remain dramatically below the baseline.\n\n*\nFull paper in the first reply",
