World’s first 10,000-qubit quantum processor architecture has been just announced. QuantWare revealed a new design capable of supporting 10,000 qubits, a roughly 100-fold jump over today’s leading systems. The breakthrough comes from a 3D, chiplet-based architecture that avoids the wiring congestion and noise problems slowing conventional 2D layouts. By vertically integrating components, the company says it can dramatically expand qubit counts without collapsing performance. To support production, QuantWare confirmed plans for a new quantum fabrication facility in Delft, Netherlands, scheduled to open in 2026. The site is intended to serve as a dedicated manufacturing hub for large scale quantum processors.
