Caught this gem from @jerallaire (CEO, Circle) at @solana Breakpoint today: “There will be hundreds of millions, if not billions, of agents working continuously on behalf of people and institutions... and there will be institutions that are all operated by AI” There’s a reason why Circle is integrating AI infra and agents into its payment systems.

TradFi payment rails (VISA + Mastercard) already have their own stablecoin & agent initiatives \n\nYesterday McKinsey published a report that estimated E-commerce could become a $40 trillion market within 5 years (that’s a 500% increase); most of that will be catalyzed by agents as we usher in the next evolution of the Internet \n\nIn fact, A16z quoted Agentic commerce to be closer $30 trillion (per Gartner).
