I run Opus 4 via Claude Code on multiple instances for the whole work day. \n\nI estimate that the rate it uses tokens is somewhere around $150-$200 per five hours in API equivalent cost (i started out on Max 5x and ran into usage limits, so I switched to API every few hours for a few days). But for just one subscription with a poorly structured quota of 50 five hour sessions in a month. So I *super roughly* estimate the value to be around $8700/mo equivalent API usage. \n\nI like roo code, and cursor, and windsurf, and cline, and zed, and augment. I LOVE jules, i think it has tons of potential. But I went from daily tool hopping to just using Claude Code and I don't feel like I'm missing anything.",
